High-Flyers Kite Shop There is nothing like flying a kite to make you feel like a kid again! So whether you are ages 5 or 75, stopping in at the kite shop is a must. High-Flyers sponsors the annual kite flying festival held in Pacific Beach the 2nd weekend in Sept. What a sight to see!
Museum of the North Beach is located in Moclips, just north of Pacific Beach on Hwy 109 in an old converted gas station. Full of logging and railroad history, as well as artifacts from shipwrecks, and memorabilia from local families.
Pt. Grenville just a short drive north on the Quinault Indian Reservation. Be certain to obtain a day pass, then head on out to Pt. Grenville to enjoy the tidal pools.
Lake Quinault about a 45 minute leasurely drive from Pacific Beach, and well worth it. Lake Quinault is located in the rain forest, with walking trails suitable for all abilities. Or, if you prefer, take a drive around the lake and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. |

Ghost Forest near Copalis Beach
Grab your Kayak and head south about 10 miles to Copalis Beach. Put your kayak in the Copalis River and head east, just a short distance out you will find the Ghost Forest, consisting of still standing dead trees that were killed by a tsunami in 1700.
Quinault Beach Resort & Casino located in Ocean City on Hwy 115 as you head to Ocean Shores. About 15 minutes south of Pacific Beach. Featuring slot machines, card tables, craps and roulette.
Weatherwax Property in Ocean Shores is comprised of 120-acres of forestland and walking trails, perfect for bird-watching, and enjoying plants and wildlife. Beautiful photo opportunities to be had!
Ocean Shores Interpretive Center offers exhibits on local nature, history and culture. Located at the end of Pt. Brown Ave, then Left on Catala Ave. SE
