Greetings from Pacific Beach & Beyond!

A great spring break is winding down; I would like to thank all of you who visited us while on your vacation, and for those of you who stopped by the new office to say "hi", it was a pleasure!  That is the great part of my job; meeting folks like you.

The Month of May in Pacific Beach is full of fun stuff for everyone, and I encourage you to make your reservations soon.  A list of some of the happenings in and around Pacific Beach are listed below.

• May 9th Sand Castle Contest Sand sculpture teams and individuals compete for prizes.  10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the State Park at Joe Creek.  Contact Mim Groesse 360-276-4727
• May 23rd - 25th Memorial Day Weekend Many things happening this weekend! 
•  May 23rd Fireman's Pancake Breakfast 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. start you day off by having breakfast at the Fire Hall/Community Center just off SR 109 @ North First.  Donations go to FD #8. 
• May 23rd & 24th 3rd Annual Pacific Beach Quilt Show Come see the beautiful Antique and contemporary quilts at the Pacific Beach Elementary School.
• May 23rd - 25th 8th Annual Museum of the North Beach Garage Sale Help raise funds for the Museum.  This garage sale is HUGE!!!  You are sure to find treasures you didn't know you needed.  Located in the red building on SR109 between the Community Center & Food Bank.
• May 23rd & 24th KXPB Fundraiser BBQ I am certain that after looking at quilts and shopping the garage sale, you will have worked up an appetite.  Located next door to the red building where the garage sale is being held, you will find BBQ'd burgers and dogs to satisfy your appetite.  Proceeds go to our local radio station.
• VISIT THE BEACH!!!  After all, it is Memorial Weekend.  Take your kids, dogs, or a good book and go spend time on the beach.  Watch the tide roll in, gather sand dollars, check out the bald eagles on the bluff...
